"I learn by doing a task, not just reading."
“I think the self-paced sessions are very user-friendly – the fact that they are so flexible allows me to do them during my downtime or even in between my calls. I find myself going to the platform at different times throughout the day or week, and I can easily pick up where I left off. The live sessions are helpful as they pull together the lesson. I find this very useful since I learn by doing a task, not just reading or sitting through a lesson.
The lesson that stuck with me the most was the Harvard class about Time Management and how many distractions I have that negatively affect my day-to-day work.
I am more aware of my surroundings, which allows me to have fewer interruptions and finish the task at hand. I use “focus/work time” on my calendar to prevent my day from being planned for me, and I can plan my day based on my priorities. I am finding myself getting more accomplished during actual working hours and less work needing to be done after business hours. I am also finding myself sharing some of the facts and tips with my managers to help them plan their days better.”

“Hello, my name is Ian. I am the maintenance supervisor for Pelican Lakes Apartments in Clearwater, Florida. I have been in my field of work for about ten years, and I have been employed by Vidalta for over one year. I have been actively involved in Escal8 courses for months now.
I have only done one live-session course so far. I believe the live-session courses are valuable from the perspective of being able to converse with my peers and the instructor in real time. Questions, answers, comments, and ideas are all very natural when doing the course live.
The self-paced courses are equally valuable as well. Employees are on different schedules and in different time zones, and having the courses offered on the self-paced platform makes it much easier for all employees to complete courses when it is convenient to their schedules and allows employees to be more relaxed and focused.

"The courses will meet your needs."
I love that with Escal8’s courses, you learn at your own pace. What I like most about it is that if you are a visual or hands-on learner, the courses will meet your needs.
On the other LMS platforms, it was more reading and quizzes back-to-back. This platform has games and very colorful presentations. Also, the courses break everything down into more detail and provide real-world examples. Therefore, I think Escal8 is way easier than what I’ve received from other vendors, and it helped me understand Fair Housing as well as my everyday duties.
